I've been doing some looking around regarding to this topic. Some peoples suggest emulators like Virtual X86 or GuestPC but I come to believe using an emulator will eat a lot of your system's resources since its running 2 OS at the same time. It will definately lag the Window's OS if you are planning to run that in the background. Especially when you use a iBook G4 like me with 768 RAM and install Window's XP as the 2nd OS. It lagged so bad I was forced to use a older OS of Windows so that it...

Hi techies,

Here's a problem with my Mac G4/400 that I've been having for the last 2 weeks and I just about finally tried everything. What's more annoying is that it can happen at any time, whether I'm running installer, the finder, moving icons around on my desktop, iTunes, etc. It does not matter what I'm doing. It usually happens about 5-10 minutes after bootup.

However, if I'm not doing anything on the Mac, the screen saver will come on and can sometimes run for hours...

I listen to a lot of music on my eMac G4. Lately it seems like the sound quality isn't what it used to be; I keep hearing a faint distortion or vibration, expecially on classical piano music. I use external speakers and I've tried changing them (currently I'm using Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speakers) but I can still hear the vibration on some songs. Could the internal sound hardware itself be deteriorating? I love my music! Is there an easy fix here?
