A bit vitriolic Bill...I've often found myself unsupported in my computer needs because I am a Mac user. Interestingly, when I find myself left out in the cold, it's almost always a niche market software solution. I find this interesting because I figure most software developers create a Windoze solution because of market share and economy of scale, but I'm not sure that's a valid consideration in a niche market, where the actual user base may not be the often quoted 90-95% pee-cee.
I would agree that the Mac's lack of games hurts the platform. I myself would have bought a Mac a long time ago, but I wanted to play one particular game that was PC only. What the Mac needs are games that are only available on the Mac. That's the only way Apple can get gamers to buy. I understand why most game companies don't develop for just the Mac platform. It wouldn't make economic sense. The only company that could make games just for the Mac is Apple. They need to make a couple...

Apple has never been ethused about gaming and it's definitely hurt the platform. I sold Macs for years and the hardest...

I have to disagree with the heart of your argument, Bill. As a switcher, I've become quite a proponent of Macs, but there are a LOT of areas where Macs just don't have the support they need to compete. You mentioned games as the one area where people are best to stick with Windows. There are others. And there is a LOT of software out there that simply does not exist... or does not exist in an "as good" form ... on the mac platform.

Let's take the first, and (from my...
