A bit vitriolic Bill...
I've often found myself unsupported in my computer needs because I am a Mac user. Interestingly, when I find myself left out in the cold, it's almost always a niche market software solution. I find this interesting because I figure most software developers create a Windoze solution because of market share and economy of scale, but I'm not sure that's a valid consideration in a niche market, where the actual user base may not be the often quoted 90-95% pee-cee. I'm not sure these developers are concerned with a market analysis of their potential customer base, and in some cases, the (Mac) user AND the developer BOTH suffer, one from lack of software, the other from lack of revenue.
Here's hoping Mac OSX's Unix architecture continues to open these niche markets to developers and OSX users looking for software solutions.
